Day 1
Our northern Morocco journey begins in Tangier, where you’ll arrive either by plane or ferry. In both cases, our team will be waiting to welcome you at the airport or port.
Without delay, your Spanish-speaking driver will take you in a private vehicle to Tetouan, the first stop on the itinerary. Often called the “White Dove” for its light-colored buildings, Tetouan was once the capital of the Spanish Protectorate in Morocco, and that legacy is still evident in its architecture and atmosphere. Its medina, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, will captivate you with its historical richness and lively spirit.
After a self-guided tour of Tetouan, we’ll continue to Chefchaouen, also known as Chaouen. Nicknamed the “Blue City,” it’s famous for its beautifully painted alleys and spiritual ambiance. Once closed off to foreigners, Chefchaouen is now a peaceful and inviting place known for its artisan crafts, charming blue-washed houses, and vibrant culture.
Together with an official local guide, we’ll explore the medina’s maze-like streets, visiting scenic viewpoints and uncovering its hidden beauty. You’ll end the day with an overnight stay in a traditional riad nestled in the heart of the medina.
Summary of the day
- Arrival in Tangier and pick-up by our staff

Day 2
After enjoying breakfast at your riad in Chefchaouen, we’ll begin our journey southward. Just under 200 kilometers away lie three remarkable destinations. Our first stop is the ancient Roman city of Volubilis, home to impressive ruins that reveal its historical significance. The towering columns of the Temple of Jupiter Capitoline and the intricate mosaics in its grand residences are standout features of this UNESCO World Heritage Site.
A short 20-kilometer drive from Volubilis brings us to Meknes, one of Morocco’s majestic imperial cities. Once the capital under Sultan Moulay Ismail in the late 17th and early 18th centuries, Meknes boasts stunning architectural landmarks such as the ornate Bab Mansour gate and the sultan’s own mausoleum.
After soaking in the history and elegance of Meknes, we’ll head to Fez, another iconic imperial city. Due to the vastness of its historic medina, the guided exploration will take place the following day. For now, you’ll relax in a beautifully restored riad nestled within the medina.

Your tour may include visits to its renowned madrasas, such as Bou Inania, religious landmarks like the Karaouine Mosque, and historic spots like the Nejjarine Fountain. You’ll also experience the vibrant atmosphere of the traditional souks and specialized artisan quarters, including the well-known tanners’ district.
In the afternoon, you’ll have free time to explore at your own pace—whether you’d like to visit museums, discover more monuments, or shop for high-quality crafts. The day ends with another night in your charming riad located in the heart of the medina.
