Day 1
Our Moroccan desert adventure begins in Marrakech whether from the airport, your hotel, or another meeting point of your choice. There, our driver/guide will welcome you and begin the journey in a comfortable, fully equipped vehicle.
We’ll head across the Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass, the highest point in the range at around 2,200 meters. Along the way, you’ll enjoy breathtaking panoramic views and pass through traditional Berber villages where time seems to have stood still. Just before reaching Ouarzazate often called the “Hollywood of Morocco” for its famous film studios—we’ll visit the iconic Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah. A stroll through this stunning adobe fortress reveals why it earned UNESCO World Heritage status in 1987 (entry optional). We’ll also make a photo stop at the nearby Taourirt Kasbah.
And these won’t be the only fortresses to capture your attention. From here, we’ll journey along the legendary Road of a Thousand Kasbahs, passing through the picturesque Rose Valley and the breathtaking Dades Valley. In the Rose Valley, vast fields of fragrant roses stretch across the landscape, while the Dades Valley is lined with palm, birch, and almond trees flourishing along the river that shares its name.
Our day concludes with an overnight stay in a charming riad nestled in the Dades Valley a peaceful pause to relax and gather energy for the exciting journey that lies ahead into the heart of the Moroccan desert.

Day 2
The second day of our Moroccan desert journey begins with a hearty breakfast at the riad and concludes in Merzouga, home to the awe-inspiring Erg Chebbi dunes. But before reaching this magical destination, we’ll encounter another highlight: the Todra Gorges. These dramatic rock formations, reaching heights of up to 200 meters, have been sculpted over centuries by the Todra River. The winding road through this area offers stunning, almost otherworldly views, and we’ll take time to explore some of its most striking parts on foot.
After returning to the vehicle, we’ll continue our route to Merzouga—arguably the most iconic village in the Moroccan desert. There, we’ll switch our mode of travel: trading the car for camels (or optionally a desert-ready 4×4) to make our way into the heart of the Erg Chebbi dunes.
Our Berber-style tented camp awaits, offering modern comforts for a relaxing stay. But the true magic lies in the surroundings: a sunset that bathes the desert in warm, golden hues, and a night sky so clear it makes the stars appear closer than ever. In this unforgettable setting, you’ll enjoy a traditional dinner and a peaceful night’s rest.

Day 3

As the first light breaks, you’ll enjoy the breakfast included with your stay, followed by a refreshing shower, either at the camp or at a nearby hotel in Merzouga, depending on your selected package. Then, we’ll set off toward Rissani to explore its medina, renowned as one of the most beautiful in southern Morocco.
Our journey continues through other desert towns such as Alnif and Tazarine, eventually bringing us back through the vast Draa Valley. This area boasts the largest palm grove in North Africa, which you’ll have the chance to experience firsthand in towns like Agdz a former caravan stop known today for its cultural treasures like the Kasbah des Arts.
From there, we begin our return to Marrakech, passing once again through Ouarzazate and crossing the Atlas Mountains, this time via the Ait-Saoun Pass, which sits at around 1,600 meters above sea level. We’ll arrive in Marrakech later in the evening, marking the end of a rich and memorable journey through the Moroccan desert.
